 The original wood steps built into the hillside were showing signs of wear—boards were weathered, and water runoff from the yard was causing erosion and pooling. The concrete step at the base had also begun to deteriorate, adding to the safety and aesthetic concerns. 

 To solve the water issue and restore the steps, we rebuilt the entire staircase with fresh, pressure-treated lumber. We enclosed the sides to prevent water from washing through and added a sloped wood deck landing at the top—designed to divert rainwater away from the steps. The concrete step at the bottom was resurfaced for a clean, durable finish. 

  The new steps are not only structurally sound but also built with water control in mind.
